Employment law update - Tuesday 16 March 2010

Our latest employment law update will take place over two sessions from 8am and 4pm on Tusesday 16 March 2010 at our offices in central Birmingham.

Following our popular format of a concise 45-minute presentation we will take you through a number of recent developments and changes in employment law.

In particular we will be focusing on:

  • what is required in a contract of employment - is a contract even required?
  • calculating the size and risk of compensation from tribunals
  • how the newly finalised regulations on agency workers (which come into force next year) could affect you
  • practical tips regarding the redundancy consultation process
  • an update on how courts and tribunals have recently been dealing with age discrimination cases.

Our sessions are designed to provide HR professionals, senior managers and business owners with an overview of recent and forthcoming developments in employment law and the likely impact on your business.

To give you maximum flexibility we are offering this event over two sessions on Tuesday 16 March. Timings are:
