The management team of Wolverhampton-based plastics manufacturer Fern Plastic Products has completed a multi-million pound buy out.
The new managing director of Fern Plastic Products is Iain Graham, formerly of PDS Consultants employed by Fern, who has bought the business alongside two members of the existing management team.
Gary Davie, corporate partner at Birmingham-based law firm Shakespeare Putsman, acted for Iain Graham and the new management team. "With Iain and the team's extensive knowledge of the plastics industry they have a great opportunity to drive the business forward," Gary said.
"The new management team have played a major role in building up the business to date and their experience and industry knowledge together with the company's robust existing customer base combine to put Fern Plastics in a strong position for the future. This deal is a good example of how transactions can still be completed in today's challenging economic climate."
Fern Plastics was established in 1959 and manufactures plastic injection mouldings for a number of blue chip companies in the building products and domestic appliance sectors.
