Construction partner joins Shakespeare Putsman

Ian Yule has joined Birmingham law firm Shakespeare Putsman as a partner in the firm's construction team.

Ian has specialised in construction law for nearly 20 years and joins the firm from Wragge & Co in Birmingham where he was a partner.

He advises on all aspects of construction work from drafting contracts through to the building phase and completion, and deals with disputes of all sizes and complexity. Clients range from contractors through to local authorities. Ian has particular experience of advising on PFI projects including an extension to the London Docklands light railway, the London Underground, and various health and schools-related projects. He has also advised on many multi-party disputes concerning professional negligence.

Ian said: "Shakespeare Putsman has a strong and growing construction team serving some excellent clients and I am looking forward to joining them. I enjoy helping clients through all aspects of a construction project and working with them to achieve a positive result and I will continue to work to develop my practice using these skills."

Construction team head Mark English said: "Ian has impressive credentials and will be a great addition to the team as we continue to build on our good reputation for delivering excellent client service to contractors, public bodies and construction professionals."
