Intellectual property specialist Mauro Paiano and insurance lawyer Michelle Iles have joined Birmingham law firm Shakespeare Putsman.
Mauro joins the firm as a partner from Cobbetts in Birmingham and brings 17 years of IP and litigation experience. He advises on all aspects of IP law, including patents, designs, trade marks and copyright as well as advising on advertising and internet-related matters.
Mauro acts as a supervising solicitor on the execution of search and seize orders and he is a tutor on the Nottingham Law School LLM for practitioners in IP litigation. He is also a committee member for the West Midlands Licensing Executives Society and has previously been a sub-committee member of the International Trademark Association in connection with parallel imports.
Michelle Iles joins Shakespeare Putsman's insurance team as a solicitor to support the firm's large clients in defending complex and catastrophic claims. Michelle brings extensive experience of Personal Injury work, most recently gained at Beachcroft's Birmingham office, to her new role.
