New Chair for Women in Property group

Rachael Hobbis from Birmingham law firm Shakespeare Putsman has become the new Chairman of the Midlands Association of  Women in Property.

Rachael Hobbis takes on the role for one year and is one of twelve new branch Chairmen who collectively cover the Women in Property network across the UK, in support of the new National Chairman, Joanna Embling of Cushman & Wakefield.

Taking on the role at an extraordinarily difficult time for the industry, Rachael is committed to providing practical support and value for members. She says: "The Association has always been about supporting and nurturing our members and each other and this ethos has never been more important than it is now. I am determined that we will offer practical help whenever we can.

"Inevitably there will be some casualties and members who find themselves 'let go' through no fault of their own. We are looking to put together a package of support that will help members retain their confidence and sense of worth with access to the networking and personal development opportunities we can provide. This includes anything from business introductions, attendance at events which carry 'CPD' points, to participating in our mentoring scheme which remains free to members and is a hugely worthwhile experience."

The Midlands branch of Women in Property is planning a full programme of professional, CPD and social networking events across the coming year as well as more light hearted events and an opportunity for members to gain personal and career development through the mentoring programme.
