Once completed, Brooklands in Milton Keynes will provide a new 2,500 home community including three new schools, offices, shops and leisure facilities. The Marlborough Park development in Swindon will comprise 616 homes with a small local commercial centre.

Commenting on the instruction Chris Martin, Legal Services Director from Places for People said: "Our vision is to create and manage places where people can live, work, prosper and achieve their potential. To realise this vision our strategy is to develop large-scale, mixed-use developments, where we are able to make a long term commitmentto placemaking and the community.

"Brooklands and Marlborough Parkare a key part of this vision and will create thriving places with new homes, offices, schools and shops that will makethem an attractive place to live and visit."

Rob Adey, partner at Shakespeare Putsman added: "We are looking forward to continuing our work with Places for People having originally advised them on the purchase of both sites.

"They are one of the largest property management, development and regeneration companies in the UK, and being involved from the start of both of these major projects is a real bonus. We will continue to use our knowledge of the sites and the housing sector to deliver sound legal advice that also takes into account the commercial realities of the projects."
