Jo Bewley has joined Shakespeare Putsman's expanding commercial property team as an associate. The firm now has one of the city's top five commercial property teams by size and Jo's appointment brings further specialist experience across a range of property work including secured lending; the acquisition and disposal of nursing and residential care homes; and work with doctors' and dentists' practices.
Having trained at Eversheds, Jo worked in the Cheltenham area for six-and-a-half years - most recently as an associate at Rickerbys in Cheltenham - before choosing Birmingham as the place to work. "I'm really enjoying being in the thick of things in the city," said Jo. "It is an exciting place to work and I am looking forward to helping Shakespeare Putsman's property team to grow further. The firm is at a fascinating point in its development and the breadth of services on offer both within the division and across the firm was one of the things which attracted me to the practice."
Head of commercial property, Kevin Nagle, said: "Jo's addition to our team is a real boost. Her extensive general commercial property experience combined with her expertise in a number of specialist areas further strengthens the services we are able to offer to clients.
"The considerable size of the property team and our location in the heart of Birmingham means that we are well placed to grow the team still further and to make the most of the opportunities that exist for growth both in the Midlands and nationally. We continue to recruit talented people and hope to announce further appointments over the coming months."
