This seminar will take place at our offices in central Birmingham and is most suited to patent and trade mark attorneys, in-house counsel, business directors and managers who are charged with ensuring IP assets provide value in the current economic climate. Speakers include:
Nicholas Briggs, partner, will be covering 'Why would you litigate a patent in the UK'? exploring changes to the costs regime including the impact of the recent Conor v Angiotech case.
Mauro Paiano, who joined the team as a partner last month, will look at the role of IP in a recession and the reasons why cutting back on IPR may be a false economy.
Our solicitor Martin Noble will look at a number of upcoming trade mark issues including the use of the Olympics brand and associated symbols, the Intel decisions and company names.
Simon Malynicz from Hogarth Chambers in London will join us on the day to talk about his experiences in cases involving European Design law and related copyright issues.
