Intellectual property is an area of law that is complex, constantly evolving and increasingly commercially critical. Our team of lawyers, led by Nick Briggs and Mauro Paiano, specialise in this demanding area.

Across the team we have a broad range of expertise and experience covering all areas of IP law, both contentious and non-contentious. We are committed to excellence in both content and delivery of legal advice. Members of the team have acquired experience of many different technologies in the course of acting for our clients, from printed circuit boards and textiles to telephone systems and domestic appliances. They have also recently conducted substantive work for trade mark owners in the food, fashion and retail sectors needing to police their brands over the internet and online auction sites.

The team has conducted cases before the major tribunals in the UK, in the Courts, arbitration and domain name tribunals, and have assisted in various overseas cases, particularly in Europe and the USA.
