How would you describe Shakespeare Putsman as a place to work?
A friendly and caring environment. Shakespeare Putsman offers an excellent level of training to start your legal career, no matter where your interest lies. Trainees are integral to the firm's development, which is reflected in the support given and the opportunity to work independently.
What has the type of work been like so far?
While the emphasis of the work changes with every seat, the quality does not. Trainees complete real work, from conducting initial meetings to drafting documents for use in the courtroom, on behalf of a diverse client base.
What's the social life like?
There is always something going on, from having a drink at 5pm on a Friday to playing sport for the firm or completing a run for charity. Trainees automatically become members of the BTSS.
What have been your best and worst experiences so far?
Some of the best have been the impressive formal dinners. The worst was having to telephone lawyers in New Jersey. There was no need to worry though - they were more interested in discussing my accent than in discussing the case in hand!
